Every superhero has their origin story. In 2015, when AM Smash was just a twinkle in Stefanie and Chris eye, they entered to compete in the Grilled Cheese Academy Recipe Showdown, a nationwide contest to decisively name the country s least dainty, most decadent, deluxe, downright delicious grilled cheese.
The competition was fierce with nearly 2,000 entries, and the judges weren t pulling any punches. Stef and Chris knew they had to bring their A-game. Inspired by their favorite game day eats, their grilled cheese was a riff on wings from their favorite sports bar. They went on to win the top honors, taking home a $15,000 prize.
Next Saturday May 7th, AM Smash is taking their talents to the lunch hour with our friends at JuneShine to serve this award-winning grilled cheese masterpiece for ONE. DAY. ONLY.
